The Centre For Lung Health, located at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre in the heart of downtown Edmonton, has been serving Albertans with respiratory illnessess for nearly a decade. Under the direction of pulmonary specialist Dr. G.F MacDonald, with support from numerous respiratory professionals, the Centre began offering the Respiratory Rehabilitation Program in 1992.
Over two-thousand people have benefited from Respiratory Rehabilitation. In response to the overwhemling success of the Program, the Centre initiated the Teen Asthma Program, which is geared towards educating youth on how to control their breathing difficulties, take medications properly and remain physically active asthmatics. The staff with the Caritas Respiratory Rehabilitation Program are committed to providing the best possible program. We strive to continuously improve our program to meet client needs - based on feedback. |
