- Open to patients over 18 years of age
- Anyone over the age of 18 can refer themselves into the adult asthma program.
- One hour sessions with a Respiratory Therapist reviewing key Asthma Education issues and developing an Action Plan.
- Variety of educational tools are used to meet all age levels interests and needs.
- Close communication with the client's physician, with follow-up phone calls and summaries of their patient's education sessions forwarded to them.
- Plans to link with community agencies (i.e. schools medicentres, community leagues, etc.) to provide asthma education to staff, students and families.
