Misericordia Community Hospital and Health Centre

Outpatient Physiotherapy

Our outpatient department contains a large well-equipped gym, several individual treatment cubicles, as well as a small heated pool. All physiotherapy treatment modalities are available and our machines and equipment are subject to regular safety and maintenance evaluations.

Currently some of our team members include a certified hand therapist and the other three have passed their orthopaedic manual therapy exams. One of these therapists is certified in the use of intramuscular stimulation (IMS). In addition to these, other therapists work in the outpatient department on a rotation basis.

Types of Conditions Treated

Typical types of conditions assessed and treated in our outpatient department would include:

  • Musculo-skeletal injuries
