Therapeutic Programs and Services at the Misericordia Community Hospital and Health Centre is a unique combination of professional disciplines consisting of and Audiology.
This clustering allows for integration of services and coordination of strong interdisciplinary teams to provide services for multi-needs patients. This approach to care has allowed for many innovative approaches including emergency and medical rounds for discharge planning and early identification of clients requiring immediate care. Under the umbrella of Therapeutics are significant free standing ambulatory care and outreach programs for single and multi-needs patients. This unique structure (all disciplines reporting to one manager) has allowed for close liaison of health care providers in a client-centered approach while maintaining the identity of the providers chosen profession for professional development, maintenance of diverse skills, problem solving and professional networking. Specialized programs include: Sleep Diagnostics/CPAP Clinic, Diabetes Support Group, Post-surgical hand rehabilitation and many others.
