Covenant Health Libraries: Staff Resources

Collections

The libraries maintain book, journal, audio-visual and electronic collections that support programs and services provided by Covenant Health.

Interlibrary Loans

Resource materials not available within Covenant Health libraries may be requested from other libraries. Requests may be made in person, by telephone, e-mail or fax. Please provide as complete a citation as possible as this will help library staff to expedite your request. It is advisable to speak to the interlibrary loan staff if you are placing a rush request.

NEOS Library Consortium Catalogue Online

Includes collections from all NEOS libraries, including the Misericordia and Grey Nuns libraries.

Online Resources

Electronic resources are available to Covenant Health staff and physicians at all times via networked computers throughout the facilities.

e-Library

Provides 24-hour on-site access to the following full-text resources: Includes Harrison's Online, MD Consult, OVID Primary Care Nursing Online, ACP, STAT!Ref, Micromedex, Natural Medicines Database, PubMed and Health Knowledge Network. Remote access to MDConsult, STAT!Ref and ACPMedicine is also available. For more information, Covenant Health staff and physicians should register via email to covenantlibrary@covenanthealth.ca.

Audio-visual Resources

Video viewing areas are available in both of the Misericordia and Grey Nuns health sciences libraries. Photocopying is available during staffed library hours at a cost of $0.10 per page.
