Physiotherapy Program
The Misericordia Community Hospital and Health Centre has a large physiotherapy department which responds to the changing needs of the community in accordance with the mission and values of the hospital.
The department is currently staffed by physical therapists, rehabilitation therapy assistants and receptionists. The staff provide services to inpatients and outpatients. Our staff are also involved in several interdisciplinary programmes including the Osteoporosis, Wound Care, Hand Rehabilitation, Chronic Pain, Post Partum program, Better balance, Healing connections, IMS and in the Geriatric Assessment Unit.

Our therapists have a variety of experiences in different physiotherapy settings and are a forward thinking group who constantly seek improvement and innovation in their service delivery. They frequently attend courses and seminars in an effort to keep abreast of current developments as well as participating in regularly scheduled inservice meetings where recently acquired knowledge is shared.

Enriching the body , mind and spirit of women diagnosed with Breast Cancer
 
This class will provide you with the education necessary to restore the strength and stability of your low back and pelvis after having your baby.
 
The Better Balance/Fall Prevention Program addresses balance and mobility problems of individuals who have strength issues that affect their activities of daily living and their ability to walk.
