We are pleased to share with you a new vision for Caritas Health Group, approved by the Caritas Board of Directors following extensive consultation with almost 900 internal and external stakeholders earlier this year.
From March to June 2007, Caritas held 42 consultation sessions to obtain input into the vision and strategic themes and the future direction of our organization, which operates the Grey Nuns and Misericordia Community Hospitals and the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre. Almost 600 Caritas physicians, staff and volunteers provided their advice and perspectives through in-person sessions and an on-line survey. In addition, we personally met with almost 300 community leaders, partners and supporters—representing 100 local organizations, agencies and groups. |
Building on the rich discussion and thoughtful contributions of our team and the community we serve, the Board of Directors also approved four strategic directions to guide our efforts to achieve this vision. This Fall we will finalize a number of strategic initiatives as part of our strategic planning process and will continue to engage key stakeholders as these are developed and implemented.
Vision 2020
